Afsane Sanei, author and illustrator, was born in Isfahan, Iran (1985). She has B.A. in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tehran University (2004-2008) and has M.A. in illustration from Honar University of Tehran, Iran (2010-2012). She is one of the permanent members of Iranian Illustrator’s society (ISS) since2014.
She started his professional career as an illustrator and a character and background designer for animation) since 2010 and now she has more than ten picture books and three animations in her resume.
Three years ago, she started to know more about children’s literature and tried to make stories for young children. Now, she is a member of the Council of Iranian Children’s Books (Iranian IBBY Section). She is working on some new projects for her own (as author and illustrator), that are in progress.
